Meet The Committee

Lynley Moroney

Lynley has been involved with Bowen for 11 years & practicing as anEMRT™ (Equine Muscle Release Therapy) and CCMRT™ (Cat and canine Muscle Release Therapy). She has completed 5 years of teachers training to become an International Instructor for EMRT™ & CCMRT™ and is also a fully qualified Professional Bowtech Therapist for humans. Lynley came to Bowen as a last resort for a severe disabling back injury which other therapies had not helped significantly leaving her facing a 50% chance of being in a wheelchair.

 

Christine Bull

Christine began her Bowen journey in 2000, and has run a Natural Health clinic on the Kapiti Coast since 2008. She has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2011 and currently holds the position of Secretary.

Inga von Benzon

Inga has been a Bowen therapist since 2005. She is running a full time natural health clinic with a strong focus on Bowen therapy. Inga is also an instructor trainee for Bowtech in New Zealand, and has started her first training modules this year. She is passionate about creating a strong presence of Bowen therapy in this country.Inga has served on the Executive in a few different roles over the past few years, including Secretary and Chair.

Mark Palmer

Mark has been involved in the Bowen Therapy World as a Professional member since 1997 where he first learnt the technique in Cairns Australia. In 2006 he returned to live in Christchurch where he runs a Bowen Therapy Clinic.He has been on the committee for the last 3 years as the Deputy Chairman and in 2016 was voted in as Chairman.He is passionate to see Bowen Therapy receive the recognition that it deserves in the Health Industry and public in general.

Paul Bull

I have been Treasurer since beginning of 2013, and being the only member not trained (or training) in Bowen, I’ll happily receive treatment when I’m able.My day job is working at EECA as an Account Director.

June Sobye

I come from a farming background and currently live on a life-style block near Katikati.

In 1996 I studied Bowtech Bowen Therapy and have since been in practise, first in Te Awamutu and now, at home and also at the Waihi Beach Natural Health Shop, on one day per week. I completed my Diploma of Homeopathy in 2000.

It has been a rewarding journey, with the greatest joy being, in seeing people moving easier and suffer less.

For the 2nd consecutive year I am a member of Bowen Therapy New Zealand, serving on the Executive Committee, enjoying a very enthusiastic and progressive time.

Carolyn Dickey

I am passionate about this wonderful technique and the sense of wellbeing it provides.  I welcome clients from pregnant women and babies through to the elderly in clinic space at my home which is in a quiet, relaxed and private setting.  I have been a registered professional member of Bowen Therapy New Zealand® since 2002.   I have undertaken training in New Zealand, Australia and England achieving the highest qualification of Masters Specialist Procedure Level 2.   I maintain my qualifications and accreditation keeping abreast of current practice within the industry and am an executive member of the Bowen Therapy New Zealand® Association.    I enjoy constantly learning and developing my knowledge and practice as the Bowen technique evolves to better cater to our increasingly fast paced lifestyle. 

Gay Jarvis Head Instructor & Representative

Gay has had 20 years in the complimentary health field gaining experience and expertise,focusing on the Bowen technique since 1997. Each modality has brought something of value to Gay’s ongoing focus and passion for Bowtech.Ongoing training to maintain skills and ensure the most up to date techniques are known to her are taken regularly. Gay is committed to the well being of clients, and one of the most rewarding areas of the clinic is meeting people and having them leaving feeling better than when they came in. Gay represents Bowen Instructors New Zealand (BINZ) on the executive committee.

Rich Visick Student Representative

Having been elected at the 2018 AGM as the first student rep on the Bowen Therapy New Zealand Executive Committee, my role is to bring the students’ perspective forward. I started my training with Pauline Senior in 2016 primarily to treat my family and friends.

I live just north of Thames, and I am self-employed as a Scrap Metal Dealer and a Blacksmith.
